The best fuel economy for the different DS 7 Crossback petrol engines is between 40 and 46 mpg. The greatest fuel economy for the smaller diesel is 55 mpg (a little less for the manual than the automatic), while the best fuel economy for the brawnier diesel is about 48 mpg.

Even these numbers seem insignificant when contrasted with the PHEV version, which, based on test data, can achieve maximums of 166 to 235 mpg, depending on your car's specifications.

The hybrids have been marginally improved on the new 2022 DS 7, with WLTP combined values ranging from 229 to 222 mpg reported. Depending on the version, the official electric range ranges from 39 to 49 miles; however, 30-35 miles is likely a more reasonable estimate.

On longer trips, good luck matching the MPG numbers as well. Spending as much time as possible using solely electricity will maximise your return, but your average figure will drastically drop as soon as your petrol engine starts up once the battery runs out.

The insurance groups in the various DS 7 models vary greatly. Based on their price and power output, the great majority fall within groups 20 to 30 (out of 50), which places them in the middle of the pack in terms of the insurance rates they get. But because of their incredible strength, the hybrids are in groups 37 to 39, which makes their insurance rates substantially higher.
